The justification given for the German pension reforms that led to a reduction in the level of state pensions was that contributions were "too high" and could threaten Germany's competitiveness. 24 However, a comparison of the two countries reveals that Austria's economy has actually outperformed Germany's in many respects over the past 16 years. Austria's GDP rose by 22% in real terms between 2000 and 2015, whereas Germany's rose by just 18% over the same period. 25 Productivity and the employment rate (both measured in hours) have also grown more strongly in Austria than in Germany ( Figure 2 ).

Economic development and competitiveness indicators for Germany, Austria and the eurozone

Labour costs in Austria have increased more than in Germany. Hourly labour costs in the private sector are now more or less the same in both countries. shop offer for sale DVS Mens Nica Skateboarding Shoe Black/Black Suede pictures cheap online jMTFW1xX
Data from the OECD's "Taxing Wages" database show that the higher rate of pension contributions in Austria forms part of a social security contribution system in which employers pay significantly higher contributions than employees and indeed than employers in Germany. 27

The convergence of labour costs in the two countries since the start of EMU can be largely attributed to the fact that wage increases in Germany have remained below those in Austria. The labour market and social security reforms introduced in Germany at the beginning of the last decade were primarily aimed at reducing labour costs. These measures had the effect of stifling domestic demand in Germany – even though price inflation was higher in Austria, private consumption in Germany rose by just 11% in real terms over the 16-year period, compared to 17% in Austria. 28 Economic growth in Germany was almost entirely driven by exports, which more than doubled in the period in question. However, Austria also achieved real growth of 82%. The upshot is that Germany has accrued a current account surplus that now stands at almost nine per cent of GDP, whereas Austria's current account surplus has remained virtually unchanged at between two and four per cent. In the final analysis, Austria has chosen to maintain a strong welfare state and has opted not to impose government restrictions on wage increases. Meanwhile, Germany has cut back its welfare state whilst at the same time substantially reducing the contribution burden for businesses and people with high incomes. 29 The economic data indicate that Austria's policies have delivered better results. Moreover, our interpretation of both countries' economic development is ultimately backed up by the change in German economic policy undertaken in the wake of the major recession of 2008-09. This involved taking active measures over a period of time to stabilise demand, resulting in a return to stronger wage growth and the normalisation of employment and economic growth trends. 30

Rates of antimicrobial resistance rates over time (3-year rolling average) among gram-positive isolates (methicillin-resistant [MRSA], methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci (MRCoNS), vancomycin-resistant [VRE], ampicillin-resistant , and ceftazidime-resistant [PSAE]) recovered in a series of 24,179 cases of nosocomial bloodstream infection.

Among enterococcal isolates, vancomycin resistance was found in 60% of E. faecium isolates and in 2% of E. faecalis isolates ( figure 5 ). Among viridans group streptococci, decreased susceptibility to penicillin (MICs of ⩾0.25 mg/L) and to erythromycin was detected in 39 (35%) of 112 isolates and 44 (42%) of 104 of isolates, respectively.

Antimicrobial resistance levels for the most common gram-negative organisms causing nosocomial BSIs are shown in table 3 . A relatively high proportion of E. coli isolates displayed resistance to ampicillin, piperacillin, and ampicillin-sulbactam (44%, 41%, and 39%, respectively). Resistance to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole was seen in 19% of isolates. Third-generation cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, and ciprofloxacin displayed activity against most isolates, as did imipenem and aztreonam (⩽5% of isolates were resistant). For Klebsiella isolates, third-generation cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, fluoroquinolones, aztreonam, and imipenem were active against >80% of isolates tested. For Enterobacter isolates, imipenem displayed the greatest activity (1% were resistant). Of the P. aeruginosa isolates, 11%, 14%, and 16% were resistant to piperacillin, imipenem, and ceftazidime, respectively. Resistance to ciprofloxacin was seen in 20% of tested isolates. Of note, the proportion of P. aeruginosa isolates resistant to ceftazidime increased from 12% in 1995 to 29% in 2001 ( P < .001, trend analysis; figure 5 ).

As a result, those three teams were excluded.

Now, to the teams that could pull the trigger on a deGrom blockbuster.

RHP Kyle Wright ( Fly London Lask Women’s Unlined biker boots half length Black low price outlet free shipping clearance online ebay buy cheap collections LRq249SH6o
ATL prospect, No. 25 prospect)

RHP Kyle Wright

With a 6'4", 200-pound frame and a four-pitch mix that has a chance to be above-average or better across the board, Wright has all the makings of a future ace.

The No. 5 pick in the 2017 draft opened the season in Double-A, and he's gone 5-7 with a 4.18 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 88.1 innings —strong results considering how aggressively he's been pushed.

Wright might have the highest ceiling in a deep stable of Atlanta pitching prospects and he's a viable blockbuster centerpiece.

LHP Luiz Gohara (No. 3 ATL prospect, No.41 MLB prospect)

LHP Luiz Gohara

Few left-handed pitching prospects have the pure stuff of Gohara. He can touch triple-digits with his fastball and backs it with a wipeout slider and an improving changeup.

The continued improvement of his changeup and overall command will determine his ultimate ceiling, but power lefties don't grow on trees, and worst-case scenario, he'd be a major weapon out of the bullpen.

High-floor starter Kolby Allard could also be a fit as the second piece of this package. Gohara offers more upside, though.

OF Cristian Pache (No. 8 ATL prospect, No. 99MLB prospect)

OF Cristian Pache

Now that Ronald Acuna has moved to the majors, Pache is the top outfield prospect in the system and a precocious prospect in his own right.

Still just 19, he's already playing at High-A Florida , where he's hitting .270 with 24 extra-base hits. His speed and defense are his best present tools, but he has a chance as a plus hitter as well, with at least some playable gap power.

According to MLB.com , he has a chance to become an " All-Star-caliber player," and that's the type of upside the Mets should be looking for.

RHP Touki Toussaint (No. 10 ATL prospect)

RHP Touki Toussaint

Drafted No. 16 overall in 2014, Toussaint was one of the youngest players in the class and he just turned 22 last month.

MLB.com wrote: "The Braves feel Toussaint grew more emotionally than perhaps any other starting pitching prospect in their system in 2017. He came to baseball, and pitching, a bit later than many, which might be a reason why adjustments have taken longer for him. He can get by with improper mechanics, but when he is in sync, he can dominate, and the Braves feel his athleticism will help him get there eventually, with a ceiling of a No. 2 starter."

He's still a work in progress, but the results are starting to match his upside, as he's gone 4-6 with a 2.93 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 107 strikeouts in 86 innings this season at Double-A Mississippi.
